How can you rip the streets if your machine isn't in prime running condition and mounted with the right specs?
Its no doubt, the Dodge muscle cars occupy a rightful position as power-packed brutes dominating most American muscle cars on the strip, so it's near-perfect anyway, right? We say even icons can be improved. That's why we offer a wide range of information about modding your car and boosting your performance to the next level. At Geared To Go, we'll be here with you every step of the way in your quest for the perfect muscle car. Installing some power halting brakes could mean the difference between a slight scare and an accident with your baby!
You can give your beast more bite with performance brakes from brands such as Brembo whether you tear up the track with your muscle car or you just daily around town in it. From rotors to pads and complete big brake kits, so outfitting your ride with track-worthy performance braking is as easy as it is affordable. Many brands carry a wide range of parts for your specific make/trim of muscle car.
For better-than-stock stopping power, incredible durability, and low dust, I would recommend going with some great performance ceramic brake pads. For ripping the streets and putting on a show there, try for an organic, semi-metallic, or mild race pads with the likes of Brembo; etc . Lets say you like to let all your horses out at the track, disregard concerns about noise and dust, I recommend a race-ready pad that can stop your rocket at the blink of an eye and can handle high temps.
Drop the racing pads and slowly walk away, if you're just daily driving— a set of conventional rotors will do you just fine. On the other hand, if you love to let those ponies run free, specially slotted and drilled one-piece rotors will give you the clamping power you need to dominate and take the win at the strip every time.
An extensive selection of brake rotor and pad kits for the Challenger and Charger. These handy all-in-one kits give you everything you need to completely upgrade your all-around stopping power. Upgrade yours for both the front and the rear, with ample personalized kits due for a range of applications, from commuting to street driving and racing.
If your Brembos squeak bad, it may all the brake dust between the pad and rotor causing the squeaking. Even after wash the car the harsh noise comes back, just up until brake dust builds up again.
To combat this I've heard some owners recommend Powerstop Z-26s (Metal Backing) or you can also consider the Powerstop Z-23s (rubber backing).
I went from having to wipe the rims down just from going to the corner store to really no brake dust at all. Just make sure you perform the proper bedding procedure.
